PrivacySong Snipe keeps your music library local-first.
Song Snipe is built around a Mac-hosted music library. The Mac app stores downloads, metadata, artwork, playback state, settings, and export history on your device unless you explicitly use an account, purchase, recovery, or relay feature.
Mac app data
The Song Snipe Mac app stores your saved links, local files, edited metadata, artwork, lyrics, settings, and export records on your Mac. Folder access is granted through macOS file permission prompts and can be changed from the app settings.
Song Snipe Remote
The iOS remote stores pairing details in the iOS Keychain where available. It sends links you choose to save to your paired Mac through the production relay or a direct Mac connection you configure. Relay job payloads are short-lived and are pruned after the configured retention window, currently 24 hours.
Accounts and purchases
Website sign-in is handled by Clerk and payments are handled by Stripe. Song Snipe uses purchase and account email addresses to issue licenses, unlock downloads, and recover license access. Payment card data is processed by Stripe and is not stored by Song Snipe.
Diagnostics and support
If you contact support, we use the details you provide to troubleshoot your issue. Song Snipe does not sell personal data. To request deletion of account, license recovery, or checkout data tied to your email, contact support@songsnipe.com.
